4th of July/Family Reunion - 2011

I just love the 4th of July! I love the patriotic songs, the parade, the flag and how we stand and put our hands over our hearts in allegiance to our country. I feel so blessed to live in this land of the free. I am also thankful for those who fight for our freedom. I love America!I just love this picture of our flag at the parade in Idaho Falls.
This year our Barrett Family Reunion is on the 4th of July. Susan made these cute pins for us to wear and be patriotic.
We started off in Idaho Falls at the Parade. Clinton and I were there with Jimmy & Stacey's family and Mike and Susan's family. We watched the parade in front of Bruce & Debbie Nyborg's house.
After the parade we went to this little park area by a dentist office on the way to the airport. We had a picnic lunch there. Here is a picture of me, my sisters and Mom. (L to R) Kathryn Egbert, Rochelle Arnold, Phylus Barrett, Janet Mollat and Susan Fitzgerald.
We had lots of activities to keep us entertained and busy. Hailey and Chelsi showed us the finer points of leg wrestling.
Henry and Hayden enjoying a game of bad mitten.
Ethen, Nate and Stacey having fun with the croquet game.
Stacey had the cute idea of decorating bags. Here are the creative artists. (L to R) Hannah Egbert, Hailey Egbert, Chelsi Arnold, Ellie Fitzgerald, Susan Fitzgerald and Katie Barrett.
Water balloon volleyball was a highlight of the after noon. Tyson and Kaden having fun.
Carrie and Ashley looking real serious about the game.
Sarah and Katie ready for the action.
Hayden and Ellie looking like real pros.
The game the guys were waiting for. Tyson, Clinton and Brock and the rest of the gang had a great time living out their "high school" dreams playing football.
Jimmy cooking up some great hot dogs.

Tyson grilling some good hamburgers for dinner. We had such a great day with our family at the reunion. The main event was yet to come. We all stayed for the big fireworks show after dark. It was awesome as usual with the music that went along with it. What a great day to combine 4th of July with the reunion. Stacey went to alot of work to make a great reunion!

It's fun to see your family. I haven't seen most of them in such a long time. Fun times.
