Father's Day Weekend in SLC 6-17-12

As you can see, Payton can hold his head up!  This is a huge improvement.  On Monday, June 18, they started feeding him a bottle.  Just a little at first, and by Wednesday, the 20th, he was drinking around 15 ounces.  He is really making progress.
He is so happy!
Father's day was celebrated at Primary Children's Hospital.  Nice three generation picture.
Payton is really styling with his feeding tube and sexy sunglasses!
Clinton cooked fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables.  Delicious!  Brock requested banana cream pie, Chelsi is showing us what is left.  This will be a Father's day we won't forget.  Then a big miracle happened.  On Friday the 22nd, The doctors sent Payton home!  He was only in for 4 1/2 weeks.  He was eating so good, that is why he got to go home.  Heavenly Father answered our prayers!  We have felt so blessed during this trial.  Many people were praying for Payton and putting his name in the Temple.  We are so grateful for all our blessings!

Bill Cosby! 6-8-12

We had a fun evening with Bill Cosby!  Jimmy and Stacey invited us and Mom to go with them.  We first had a nice dinner at the Manwarring Center.
Then we walked to the Hart Building to see "the man".
He was so funny, my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard.
We had great seats too!

Payton is Improving 6-6-12

Payton Update!  He is improving.  Thursday, May 31st, he got his breathing tube out.  Yeah!
He now makes all kinds of baby noises and  his Dad has made him laugh a few times.  He is smiling alot, especially at the nurses.  He has even been accused of flirting with them.
It is so nice to see him responsive.  Grandpa is enjoying playing with him.
He has improved so much, but still has a long way to go.  He still can't hold his head up and still needs the feeding tube.  It is so awesome to have him look at me so intently.  He is really so happy for being in this situation.  The more I am at the hospital and see and hear about the other children and their trials, I am glad Payton has Botulism.  At least we know when he leaves the hospital he will be well with no side effects at all.  We are being so blessed!  I know all the prayers and people putting his name in the Temple has really helped.

Memorial Day 5-28-12

Every Memorial Day we visit the cemeteries where our loved ones are laid to rest.  This is a tradition that we have carried on for years.  I love thinking about them and remembering about their lives.
I love having the flag put in our front yard.
We start by visiting the Sugar Cemetery.  Clinton's Grandma and Grandpa Arnold are buried here.
Next stop is the Wilford Cemetery.  This is my Dad's headstone.
We always put flowers on my Uncle Bill's grave.  He is my Dad's brother, he is a veteran and he has no family around here.
My Grandma and Grandpa Barrett are also here.  The orange flowers remind me of my Grandma, Vera.
Then we travel to the Plano Cemetery.  This is Clinton's older sister, she died at birth.
Clinton's parents are here also.
This is Clinton's Grandma and Grandpa Chandler.
Our last stop is the Little Butte Cemetery in Annis.  My Grandma and Grandpa Hedelius are buried here.

Memorial Day Weekend May 25 - 28, 2012

We flew to Arizona this Memorial Day Weekend.
We met our friends, Tony & Wendy Spooner, at The Farm for lunch.  This place was featured on "Diners, Drive in's and Dives".  We have been wanting to come here for quite a while.  It was fun to meet our friends there. We had a good time catching up with them.  The food was very good too.
The reason we came to Arizona is for Jordan's Baptism.  I can't believe he is 8 years old.  He is really growing up.  We took him to get a yogurt.
While we were here, we took Treyton for his sleepover.  He turned 4 a few weeks ago.  He wanted pizza for dinner.
Grandpa and Treyton had fun swimming.
We popped popcorn in our hotel room and watched a movie.  This was his first sleepover.  He was so excited.  We had fun spending one-on-one time with him.
