Jordan's birthday time with us - 3-18-11

This is Jordan. He just turned 7. He is one our cute grandsons. His birthday was March 14th. For his birthday we gave his a stay with us. He knew it was coming up and he has been making plans. We do what they want to do. We have really enjoyed having him come to our house. He is so creative. He is building things with the leggos.
He brought his scooter. He would ride all around our house and the green area. He is so fast!
Jordan helped me pack our picnic lunch. We went to the West Wing Park.
He made a friend, who also had her scooter with her. Funny thing is, her name is Jordan too.
We picked up Grandpa and went to get an ice cream. Yummy! my favorite!
We went to the movies. We saw the movie "Gnomeo & Juliet" It was a great movie. After the movie, we went to McDonald's for dinner.
Jordan is so cute and thoughtful. He picked these lovely wildflowers for me. He sure knows how to brighten my day! I love this tradition we do with our grandkids! We are going to continue for many years to come.

Our House - in Peoria, AZ

This is our home in Peoria, Arizona. We live at 8517 W. Briles Rd. It has been a lovely neighborhood. Pretty quiet and some elbow room. I have enjoyed living here. The front view of our house
The back view of our house
This wash runs behind and on the right side of our house.
This green area is behind our house, just beyond the wash. We have had a block party, games nights, and picnics here. This has been a big blessing in our lives to have lived here.

Moving

Well, we are moving back to Idaho! I can't believe it myself. Bruce Nyborg has offered Clinton a postion at Agritech that we can't refuse. We came upon this decision with a lot of prayer and fasting. And when Heavenly Father says this is what you need to do, you just do it. Clinton will still be working with Vestus, the company he has helped create over the past 8 months. It came as a complete surprise, but everything has fallen into place rather nicely. It is a bittersweet moment though. We were just feeling settled in Arizona, making new friends and enjoying our family there. It will be hard to leave our family and friends. We also have grown in so many different ways. It has been a real blessing being here, even though we have had some crazy trials. We have been hard at work boxing up all our stuff. How much stuff can two people have?
This is just a small portion that we have boxed up. There is alot more to go. We will load everything by the 23rd. On March 24th we take off to Idaho. Idaho here we come!

Courtnie's vacation to AZ. - March 7 - 11, 2011

My daughter-in-law, Courtnie, came to visit. We drove from Salt Lake to Phoenix on Monday, March 7th. We hit a huge snow storm from Provo to Cedar City. It was pretty exciting for a little while. Once we got here, we hit the ground running. On Tuesday, we had lunch at Paradise Bakery. If you haven't eaten here, I recommend it.
Then we were off to the movies. We saw the show "Beastly". It was a great chick flick.
I had to introduce Courtnie to Charming Charlies. As you can see we found some great items. So we are modeling them for you. I love this ring!
Courtnie found this great hair accessory. The feathers are fabulous! She also hit the jackpot and got some great deals on some lovely jewelry.
On Wednesday, we went to the Mesa Temple and did initiatory work. This is the 3rd Temple we have been to in a week. Pretty awesome!
Then we came home and ate our lunch outside on the back patio. The weather is completely awesome! It is in the upper 70's.
I just love having a picnic and someone to share it with!
After lunch we went to the pottery store. Wow! I had forgotten what an artist Courtnie is. She made the cutest little "getaway" jar.
I made a very colorful pie plate. I can't wait to use it. This was a fun thing to do.
Of course we had to have a cold stone to help us enjoy the lovely weather.
On Thursday we had lunch at Mimi's. Then we went to Castles and Coasters to play some miniature golf. I guess I have lost my touch. Courtnie beat me soundly. I just love miniature golf. On Friday I took her to the airport to fly back to Idaho. It was fun to have her here for the week.

A little stop in Utah - First week in March, 2011

On our way back to Arizona, we made a little stop in Utah to visit Brock, Carrie and Chelsi. Courtnie is coming back to Arizona with us for a little vacation.Courtnie, Brock, Carrie, Rochelle and Clinton did an Endowment Session in the Bountiful Temple on March 5th, 2011. On Sunday we attended Brock and Carrie's ward. Then we went to the Rust's house for Sunday dinner and games.
Clinton, Rochelle, Chelsi, Courtnie and Brock met for breakfast on Monday morning, March 7, 2011, at 7am. We often go to a restaurant called Lamb's on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City. It is such a great memory for me that I am passing onto my children.

Fat Cats & Yogurt - March 3, 2011

Today Courtnie and I took Kaden and Emma to Rexburg to play at Fat Cats. The kids got to ride the rides and play the games and win tokens. They got some funny prizes at the end. Here is Kaden on the little Merry-g0-round.
Emma was too scarred to ride, so she just walked around with the Merry-g0-round.
Afterwards we went to Millhollow to get some yogurt. We had a fun day!

Hanging with the kids! March 2011

While we were in Idaho, we got to spend alot of time with Tyson , Courtnie, Kaden, and Emma. Emma, Grandma and Kaden resting on the pillows at Grandma Millie's.
Kaden is driving his tractor. I guess I am the tractor seat. He sure has a great imagination!
Clinton and I are playing Barnyard with Tyson and Courtnie.
Kaden, Emma and I made brownies one night.
This picture is so cute! Kaden woke up early and found Grandpa on the couch and climbed on top and fell asleep. Priceless!

Millie's Funeral - February 25, 2011

Here we are in Sugar City, Idaho attending Milli's funeral. What a blessing it was to see so many people come and support our family. I have come to realize just how many lives she really did touch. She is an amazing woman and will be missed. This is the receiving line at the Grey Church in Sugar City.
Here are the grandsons, as pall bearers, carrying her coffin to the grave site. Denny, her oldest son dedicated the grave. So many family and friends around made it such a special day.
