S'mores! 3-21-15

Can I tell you how awesome it is to have 6 grandkids close by?!  What a blessing that Brock and Tyson now live here so we can spend time with them!  This is the start of many fun adventures!

We are all excited for spring!  Even though it is still cold we roasted marshmallow and had s'mores.  Clinton is the best marshmallow roaster.  He makes them the perfect golden brown.  Again his thoughtfulness comes through and he made me the perfect s'more!  It is always nice to have someone thinking of me.  I love him for all the little things he does for me!

St. Patrick's Day 3-17-15

My friend, Annette Sommer, and I were talking about St Patrick's Day Traditions.  She said she makes a green meal for her kids and grandkids every year.  She was telling me about the green eclair she makes.   I told her eclairs were Clinton's favorite desert, his mom used to make them.  She was so thoughtful and showed up with an eclair for me and Clinton.  It was delicious!

Maui February 28th to March 7th

A week in Maui.  We decided to make this a relaxing trip, not a running trip.  We arrived late Saturday night.  Bright and early Sunday morning we went to church.  I am glad our church is a world wide church.  We always feel welcome attending any where in the world.  After church, we took a drive around the scenic north side and found the delicious banana bread,  This is always something we have to do every time we come.

This trip ended up being rainy and cool.  We did have 2 sunny days and spent that time on the beach reading our books.  Clinton did take a dip in the ocean.
On one of the rainy days, we went to the aquarium.  We walked through the shark tunnel and they actually swam right over top of us.  Pretty cool.

This was the highlight of the trip.  This giant turtle came up on the beach to sun himself.  I got lucky to have a picture with him.

This trip turned out to be all about the food.  We had a fun meal at the Hibachi Grill in Lahainia.

We splurged this night at Mama's Fish House.  The food was absolutely fabulous!  The lobster bisque was to die for.  For desert I had a very delicious creme brulee.  Most expensive meal I have ever had, but worth it!

Forest, Forest Gump!

Bubba Gump's is always a favorite!

We found this delicious restaurant on our last trip.  It was so good that Clinton booked 2 reservations for us this time.  I am so glad he did, it was worth it.

During our relaxing time, I read this book.  It was very good and uplifting for talking about a heavy subject.

These pies speak for themselves.  (Banana Cream and Coconut Cream) All I can say is YUMMY!  Since Clinton has the book Maui Revealed on his phone, we knew to go to this fun little restaurant and try out the pies.  The name is Leoda's Pie Shop.

Most mornings we walked along the beach.  I just love when the waves come in and swirl around my ankles.

We tried twice to see The Eye of the Needle.  Luckily the clouds lifted and it wasn't raining the 2nd time so we could hike up the trail. This was a beautiful spot.  It is always nice to go to Maui and spend some quality time with my sweetheart!

Just Driving Around 2-17-15

Tyson is visiting from Washington.  He and I drove around to look at possible rentals for him and his family.  They are going to be moving back here to Sugar City!!!  I am one excited Grandma!
While we were in Rigby, we drove to my Grandma Hedelius's home (When she was alive).  My cousin lives here now.  I just had to get a picture.  I spent alot of time here when I was a little girl.  I made sure that my children knew her and visited often.  I love her and miss her.  She was 90 when she finally passed away.
One really memorable thing is Cole and Tyson gave her a great-great-grandchild.  We even took pictures to document the occasions.  I am so grateful to have the knowledge that I will get to see her again one day.  I know there is life after death and that she is in Heaven with My Grandpa.  This knowledge gives me peace and hope.

Valentine' s Day 2015

Valentine's Day is such a wonderful holiday!  I love coming up with Valentines to give to the people I love!

I heart-attacked Clinton's and Chelsi's doors in the house.

I gave this Valentine to Clinton, Chelsi and my grandchildren!  Just spreading the love around!

Clinton is always so thoughtful! He gave me and Chelsi these beautiful flower arrangements!  I recognize just how blessed I am that Clinton is always thinking about me.  He is awesome!

We had a treat! February 6th and 7th 2015

Cole came to Salt Lake City for a Conference for his work.  We made arrangements to hook up with him Friday night and Saturday.  So nice to see him and spend time with him.  I have to say, this is the first time I have kissed anyone with a beard.

Clinton made reservations at The Roof.  It was a very delicious meal.  I love this picture with the Temple behind us.  Back at the Little America Hotel, we all went swimming.  Payton thought Uncle Cole was so much fun to be with!

Saturday breakfast at Lamb's is such a great tradition.  Love the Eggs Benedict.

Someone missed their big brother!

When Chelsi was a little girl this horse was at the Children's Museum.  She just had to have a ride for old times sake.

Braden thought the horse was awesome too!

This water attraction was the coolest thing for Payton!  This Children's Museum has just gotten better over the years.
