Island Park & West Yellowstone Aug 24,25 2012

This weekend we went to Island Park and Yellowstone Park with our friends, The Hancock's.  They are from Peoria, Arizona.  Clinton was their Home Teacher.  It was fun to get to know them.  When we were getting ready to leave Arizona, we made a plan that they would come to Idaho and we would take them to Yellowstone.  That was 1 1/2 years ago.  As the summer was coming to a close we thought about this conversation and Clinton called up our friends to see if the plan was still on.  Yeah!  It was. We are at the cabin on Bill's Island.
Joe and Chelsi are rinsing off their muddy feet so they can get in the paddle boat.
Jeremy, Megan and Mitzi in the boat.
When we all got out of the boats we had to wade through the smelly mud to get to dry ground.  Nice muddy feet!
Clinton got a fire going tonight so we could roast marshmallows for smores.
Saturday we drove through Yellowstone Park.  We took them to see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the thundering waterfall.  We stopped to show them the boiling hot pots and mud pots and walked around them.  There was even this cave that was called Dragon's Cave.  It really sounded like there was a dragon in there.  For lunch we stopped and had a picnic.  The wildlife we saw were elk and bison.   Last, but not least, we saw Old Faithful go off.  Then we sent them on their way.  They also took Chelsi back to Provo.  The one thing about us moving to Arizona is the great friends we made while there.

Adventure, Here I Come! 8-22-12

In July I was put in as our ward's Young Women President.  I have been completely overwhelmed.  Young Women's is my favorite place to be though, so I am really excited to be here.  We went to girls camp and to a youth conference.  Both were great events and now I can put names to the faces.
Funny thing, when I turned 50, I decided that my adventurous days are over.  Like white water rafting and things like that.  I should have never said that.  Here I am white water rafting with our YM and YW.  It was alot of fun.  I am now going to gear up for more fun and adventurous  things to do.  I guess I needed this calling to help me feel young again!

Kaden's Birthday Sleepover 8-7-12

Kaden turned 5 this summer.  We had a fun birthday sleepover with him.
We cooked smores with Grandpa.  We slept in the camper.
We went to the library and checked out books and this backpack.  We rode our bikes to the gas station to buy ice cream cones.
We went to the Spray Park in Rexburg.
We rode the carousel too.  We had a blast!

The Birthday Girl 7-28-12

This is my Mom. She is the birthday Girl.  She is 74 years young.
This is her party.
Clinton cooked her a milk can supper.
These are her siblings and spouses.  Some of her children and grandchildren were there also.  It was fun to celebrate her.

Besides doing these fun things, Grandpa took them for a horse ride.  Life is so much funner when the grandkids are around!

Happy 30th! July 17, 2012

Today we celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary!  Time sure flies when you are having fun!
We went to Aspen Acres to play a little golf.
Riding in the golf cart is fun to do.  When we finished our 18 holes we went to St. Anthony to have dinner at Chiz's.  Later we got some ice cream then went to the Garden's at BYU-I to walk around.  We had such a nice time just being together.
We were reminded of how awesome our children and grandchildren are.  They sent us this beautiful bouquet of flowers, a $50 gift card to Olive Garden and $30 gift card to the Movie Theater.  We had a great Anniversary!
