Park City Get-a-way March 21-25, 2012

We just had a very fun Park City Get-A-Way!
This is what greeted us when we got to our Condo.  The next day all the snow was melted off the trees.
We are standing in front of our room.
Clinton is such a good skier.  He was so patient with me on this trip.  I have not skied for about 4 years.  He just followed me around on the easy runs and made sure I had a good time.
I am the fair weather skier.  This was perfect spring skiing weather.  The temperatures were in the 50's and 60's.  The snow was ok.  It was either icy or sticky.  Who cares when the weather is this good.  We had a great time on the ski hill.
Notice something missing?  That's right, Clinton's skis and poles were stolen on Thursday while we stopped to have lunch.  I couldn't believe it!  The police were very helpful, they took our information and had us fill out a police report. Clinton was lucky to get some skis to demo for the rest of the day.  Well, I can tell you that prayers are answered.  The next morning, Friday, we got a call that the police turned in his skis and poles and we were to come and get them.  What a blessing!
On Friday, we went down to Salt Lake to have lunch with Brock, Carrie, Payton and Chelsi at Red Lobster.  Chelsi and I got to eat this yummy desert.
Since we were in Salt Lake, we just had to stop at the new City Creek Mall downtown.  It was awesome!  I found my Easter dress there.  Yeah!  Clinton is such a great husband to come spend time with me at the Mall.
This is Ruth's Diner.  It is up Immigration Canyon.  It has been on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives.  We had breakfast here on Wednesday and Saturday.  The Banana Bread French Toast, Biscuits and Gravy and the Eggs Benedict were delicious!
A nice man took our picture in front of the diner.
On Saturday Clinton had a reading day.  He finished the Hunger Games Book.  I got to go to the Outlets!  Then I came back to the room and finished my book Inheritance.  It is the fourth book in the series.  I really enjoyed it.  I was disappointed in the end when the character, Eragon,  says he does not believe in God or life after death.  He only believes in himself and his dragon and he does not need to answer to a God because he is a good person.  They could have left that part out!

Jazz Game! 3-17-12

Lucky us!  One of the vendors for Agritech gave us 4 Jazz tickets.  We went with Bruce and Debbie Nyborg.  What a fun time we had.  I found out that when you have someone fun to talk to on the drive to Salt Lake, it goes pretty fast.
Our first stop was the Cheesecake Factory.  Debbie's sister Eliana and her family met us there for lunch.  Then Chelsi got off early from work and stopped by.  This is Me, Eliana, Debbie and Isabella.  Then we went to visit Carrie and Payton.  That little Payton just gives the biggest smiles and he just looks into your eyes and into your soul.  He really makes my day with the smiles.
This is us at the Jazz Game.  They played Golden State.  The Jazz were behind most of the game.  But at the end they tied and went into overtime!  Then the Jazz got on fire.  The won 99-89.  It was a nail-biter.  We got home at 2am.  It was a very fun day!

A Car & The Caucus 3-6-12

Today has been a very exciting, snowy day.  For starters, we got a new car.  We were able to sell our car and upgrade.
It is a Nissan Rouge.  I love how it drives and it is all-wheel drive too.  We feel truly blessed by the way everything worked out.
Tonight was the Idaho Caucus.  We went to the Madison High School to let our voices be heard.  This is the first time Idaho has had a Caucus.  It was very exciting to be a part of this political process.  Just a side note, my candidate took 83% of the vote in the first round.

Pillows 3-5-12

I have been sewing again.  This time, I made some pillows to put on my bed.  I made 4 of the 7 pillows.  The two in the back on the right and left sides, the red one and the black and white in the front. (this one is the same fabric as my chair).  The two white ones I found at Porter's, only $10 a pillow.  The black one in the back, I already had.  They make such a nice addition to my master bedroom.
Now for a fun window treatment and paint my dresser!  My room is coming along nicely.

Payton's Blessing 3-4-12

We went to Salt Lake this weekend to bless little Payton James Arnold.  My Mom was able to come with us.  It was a great day!  There were lots of family and friends that came along to support Brock, Carrie and Payton.
Payton is sharing his smiles with Grandpa and Me!  This just makes me happy!
Here is Payton and Grandpa, so cute!
The four generation photo!  My Mom, Brock, Payton and Me!  What an awesome day!
