Bowling is over 4-26-12

Well it is official, Bowling is over for the season.  We had our last bowling day and actually received an award.  I am also going to be the Vice President for next year.  I will be in charge of parties and awards.  Just what I love doing.
I received an award for bowling a 500 series!  My friend, Michelle Parkinson's award was for a 150 game.  My highest game for the year was 188.  I felt that I did ok.  We sure had a lot of fun.
The 500 series award is a magnet.  This is awesome because I can hang it on my fridge.  This is more fun than the pins I have received in the past.

A lovely night for a drive 4-23-12

What a lovely night for a drive!  This view of the Teton's was gorgeous as we dropped into the valley.  We were on our way to Dennie & Janet's house for dinner.  Since Millie passed away, we decided to get together for a Sibling's get together 3 to 4 times a year.
So pretty with snow still on them.
Clinton was our bus driver.  Pam & Ivan, Jamie & Darla, Ron & Paula rode up with us.
Just had to have picture of all of us.  Janet and Dennie cooked us a wonderful meal.  Mashed potatoes, BBQ ribs, fresh asparagus, corn, coleslaw and bread.  The desert was oatmeal cake and triple berry cobbler.  It was delicious!  Good food, good company and good visiting, who could ask for more!?

Could my day get any better?! 4-23-12

I subbed at the Kershaw School this morning, I am helping with the ISAT's.  When I got home for lunch, Clinton was there making it.  I told him this was a real treat having him home for lunch and fixing it also.  Then he told me that I needed to go into Agritech to help Mandy because she was really backed up with her filing.  I was thinking "how could this be when we had everything caught up on Friday?"  So I went in.
This is what I found.  Both Mandy and I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers and Florence's Chocolates.  Apparently it is Secretary Day.  It was so thoughtful to be included because I am only part time.  This really brightened my day!
Then when I got home and checked the mail, I found these lovely pictures waiting for me.  My wonderful Grandchildren from Arizona drew me these and sent them to me.  I am having the best day ever!!!

It's a Wedding 4-20-12

I just love Weddings!  This is my friend, Angie Lewis.  We have been friends for 18 years.  We have children that are the same ages and they are all friends.  Our families also adopted each other as relatives.
Angie is the happy mother of the bride.  It was a lovely day.  I got to help at the reception in the kitchen.
Chelsi is with her adopted sister, Alana.  She makes a beautiful bride! So happy we could all be there for this wonderful day.

Teddy Bear Clinic 4-19-12

I am a volunteer at the Teddy Bear Clinic.  Lucky for me the people that put this on asked the Civic Club for volunteers.  I was so excited to be a part of this activity.  The 2nd graders from Rexburg, Sugar City and St. Anthony got to participate.
I decided to take this cute stuffed animal through to see how they did everything.  This is the part where they give him a shot.  They also weighed him and measured him.  The kids really had a great time today.

Highlights 4-15-12

We sure had a fun week!  I just love it when my grandkids come to stay!  We did all kinds of fun things!
The fruit pizza was a delicious treat.
Kaden decorated my sidewalk with pictures.
The kids enjoyed building this track and driving the cars on it.
These games are a real favorite with the grandkids.
We picked up Grandma Barrett and went to Kiwi Loco for yogurt.
Courtnie, Kaden, Kimmi and I went to the Lorax Movie.
Courtnie wanted to make "Super Hero" capes.  Of course, Emma got a Princess one.
Kaden got a John Deere one.  Courtnie did a good job sewing them.
Yummy!  We all loved the rice krispie treats with M&M's.  These are Grandpa's favorite treats!  What a fun week we just had!  What am I going to do now?  I have nobody to play Candy Land with.  I guess Clinton and I will go back to our "Quiet" life.

Easter 4-8-12

The Easter Bunny did find our house this year because we had the grandkids  with us.
Kaden and Emma were so excited when they found their baskets.
This was Kimmi's first Easter
Even Grandpa was able to find his basket.  (Not sure how to turn this picture the right way)
Kaden and Emma went on an Easter egg hunt.  This was a clever place to hide an egg.
Carrie introduced us to a new Easter tradition.  The "blue lips" were done with malted milk eggs.  I remember doing this as a kid.
Everyone had fun coloring eggs.  Here is Brock and Emma.
We are glad Audrey joined in on the fun.
Brock and Carrie are showing off there lovely eggs.
It isn't hard to tell which eggs are Kaden's and which are Courtney's.
Another tradition that was introduced to us by Carrie is rolling the eggs down the hill.  They are on the top of Sugar Hill.
Courtnie, Clinton and I are at the starting line for rolling our eggs down the hill.  Easter was very fun this year because we had some of our kids and grandkids with us.

Just Because 4-6-12

I worked at the Kershaw School on Friday.  I subbed for the Secretary.  During lunchtime when it was really busy, this lady came in with this flower.  I thought, one lucky student is going to get this flower for her birthday or something.  Then the lady asked if I was Rochelle.  I said "yes" and she "said these are for you."
Yeah, I am the lucky one!  Clinton is so thoughtful to send me this rose.  The card read "Just Because".  He just made my entire day!  This was such a wonderful surprise!  I really do love Clilnton!

Girls Night Out 4-5-12

Tonight for our Night Relief Society Meeting we drove to the Idaho Falls Visitor Center and viewed the new movie "God's Plan"  It was really good.  I am glad that they provided tissues for us.  Then we watched Elder Holland talk about Jesus and the Atonement.  This was perfect for the Easter Season.
The nice Grandpa Missionary took our picture in front of the Temple. We had a great evening!

An Interesting couple of weeks 4-3-12

I finally did it.  Since I am at the very young age of 50, I have visited many medical personnel to get several tests done.  I had my yearly female tests, my mammogram and a colonoscopy.  Lucky for me the tests all came out good.  I can now breathe a big sigh of relief.  Now on to more fun things.
Clinton & I went to Salt Lake for Conference.  During the Priesthood session, Chelsi and I hung out with her friend Sarah Parkinson at the new City Creek Mall.  Later we went over to Temple Square and got this lovely picture.
After searching Pinterest, I found the type of curtains I wanted for my laundry room.  I didn't have a pattern, but I like how they turned out.  It was fun creating these curtains last night.  At times like these, I am glad my Mom helped me learn to sew!
