Some Mother/Daughter time May 2013

I realized one day that I have been visiting all my children, except Chelsi.  I guess the grandkids are the reason.  Anyway, I called Chelsi and we picked a time for a visit.  On Wednesday, May 15th I drove to Utah.  I did stop and have dinner with Brock, Carrie and Payton.  I even got to celebrate Brock's birthday, which was May 14th.  Payton even gave me a kiss!
I got to Provo around 9pm. (Chelsi worked late tonight).  My niece, Hailey Egbert, was so thoughtful and called to invite me to go get some chocolate at Olive Garden and to see Chelsi.  This truck was parked right next to Hailey's car, so we had to have a picture.
On Thursday morning Chelsi made me breakfast.  We had banana, chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs.  Then we went to the new Outlet Mall by Cabellas.  We found some great things to purchase there.  We had lunch at Johnny Rockets.  Later we hooked up with Hailey and had dinner at Kneaders.  Then went to Jordan and Ashley's to play games.  It was fun to spend some time with them before they move to Michigan.  Friday morning we went to breakfast at Magleby's Fresh with Hailey, then she had to go to work.  We spent the rest of the day shopping at City Creek.  Lunch was at the Blue Lemon.  The black bean ravioli's were delicious.  Tonight was dinner and a movie at the Gateway.  We shared a delicious catfish taco and some fresh made guacamole at Ze Tejas.  We really enjoyed the new Star Trek movie too.  This trip has been all about time spent with Chelsi enjoying good food and shopping.  We had a great time.
On the way home Saturday, Carrie, Payton her Mom and I went to this great fabric store in Bountiful.  I had Carrie pick out some flannel fabric so I can make a blanket and some burps for their new baby coming in September.  I got this cute picture of Payton while he was checking things out at the store.  I just love his new glasses.  I hope they can correct his eyes so he won't have to have surgery.

Mother's Day Weekend May 2013

On Friday, to begin this fun filled weekend, we met Dale and Kelly Harding and Jamie, Darla and Bryce for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in the City Creek Mall in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The weather was warm and we walked around the mall after dinner.  Isn't this a great view of the Temple in the background?
Saturday morning, bright and early in Tooele, Clinton, Jamie and Bryce are ready for their bike ride.  Darla and I spent the morning talking and shopping.  Clinton felt like he made good time on his ride, he rode for 58 miles.
Clinton told me that for Mother's Day we get to stay in the Grand America Hotel!  Wow!   I really felt spoiled after this weekend.  It sure is a lovely room and Clinton had these pretty flowers waiting for me when we got there.  He said that my gift is a shopping spree at City Creek and Gateway.  It doesn't get any better than this.  We even visited the spa.  Clinton had a massage and I had a pedicure.
Sunday morning we ordered in room service.  By the end of this trip, I felt like a million bucks!
We attended the Mother's Day "Music and the Spoken Word" at the Tabernacle on Temple Square.  We got there early enough that we were on the 4th row from the stage, these were great seats.
For lunch we had the Mother's Day Brunch at the Grand America.  It was delicious!  Clinton is so thoughtful and made me feel very special today.  It was nice to hear from my children and grandchildren today also.  I had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Some time with Kaden May 2013

Work brought Tyson to Sugar City this week.  Kaden came with him.  The Grandma's got to have time with Kaden while he was here.  On Tuesday, April 30, I was helping with the Teddy Bear Clinic at the Hospital, so Kaden came along.  He got his picture with the friendly bear and he brought a teddy bear to be checked out.
We had fun learning what happens when you have to go to the hospital.
Grandpa bought this motorized John Deere Tractor for the Grandkids to ride.  Kaden thought this was awesome!

On Saturday, May 4th, Kaden and I rode our bikes to the gas station and got some ice cream.  This is becoming a great tradition.

Last, but not least, Tyson hung my new light fixture in my middle bathroom!  All I need to do is paint a little and it is done.  Yeah! I love how it looks!
