Secretary's Day April 22, 2013

This is the office I work in at Agritech.  Today the florist showed up with three bouquets of flowers.  One for Mandee, one for Jenna and one for me.  I didn't even know it was Secretary's day.  Clinton, Bruce and Evan sent these to us to thank us for what we do for them.  It was very thoughtful.  Flowers always make my day!

GFWC State Convention April 19, 20 2013

I belong to the GFWC (General Federation Women's Club), it is a nation service organization.  Here in our town it is known as The Rexburg Civic Club.  I am the 2nd Vice President.  I am in charge of membership.  It was pointed out to me that I am the youngest person here.  Our club is involved in many service activities in our community.  We help with collecting donations for the Women's Crisis Center, the Teddy Bear Clinic, Planting flowers at the Tabernacle, the Art & Poetry Contest and the Community Spelling Bee.  I really enjoy the women and the service aspect.  Our State Convention was held in Burley, Idaho.

Conference Weekend in Utah April 6 & 7, 2013

What a great weekend we had!

Lunch at Red Lobster, Payton thought the live lobster was awesome!

Clinton and Brock spent most of the day Friday cutting down trees in the backyard. 

We were the lucky ones!  This was Clinton's, Chelsi's and my first time to go.  Our Stake Presidency gave us 5 tickets for the Sunday afternoon session of Conference. Then we found out that Brock got 4 tickets for the Saturday morning session.  Out of the clear blue, Melanie Schwendiman called Brock and gave him 2 tickets to the Priesthood Session.  This was the first time we ever got tickets and they came in abundance!  Needless to say, we had a great weekend enjoying Conference in many different ways. 

This was Saturday morning, right before Conference started.  The Spirit was so strong in the Conference Center.  Such a neat experience to be in the same room with a living Prophet and the Apostles.  I loved the messages and all the positive energy that was there.

     On Sunday afternoon, we had a family dinner with Ashley, Jordan & Lyla; and  Hailey & Tyler.  Then spent the evening playing games.

What a Fun Surprise! 3-27-13

The other day I received a text from our good friends in Arizona.  They told me that they were in Provo, Utah and had lunch at Olive Garden and guess who they ran into?

Chelsi was very surprised to see Tony and Wendy Spooner at a neighboring table while she was working. Chelsi got to know them when she lived with us in Arizona.  They were so wonderful to Chelsi and helped her get to know some of the young adults there.  They sure brightened everyone's day.

A Little Fun in the Sun! March 2013

Just after I had so much fun in Idaho with some of my grandkids, I got to travel to Arizona and play with the rest of my grandkids there.  I had two weeks of grandkids!

Londyn and I got reacquainted, she told me "Grandma, you are the best!"

Jordan turned 9 while I was there.  He had the traditional "Biscuits & Gravy" breakfast.  The candles were in the biscuits in the bowl.  I took Jordan out for his birthday.  I let him choose where to for lunch.  He chose Subway and the Yogurt place.   I just love taking my grandkids one - on - one.  I get to know them better that way.  They get to talk without any interruptions and say whatever is on their minds.  They really are some of my most favorite people!

I spent one day with my sister Susan.  We went shopping, of course.  I told her I was looking for a purse.  Well I found one and some shoes and a couple of shirts.  I do like shopping in Arizona.  That night Cole and the kids came to Susan's house and we had dinner.  Always fun to get the family together.

My Grandkids came to town!  We always have a lovely time when they do.  We played board games, baked yummy treats, went snowmobiling and celebrated Emma's birthday (she turned 4).

Kimmi is finally wanting to play dress-up.  Doesn't she make a lovely princess?!

I took Emma to Kiwi Loco to get some yogurt for her birthday.  To celebrate her birthday we all went to Teton Lanes and she had a Princess Bowling Birthday Party.

We went snowmobiling and Kaden helped me build a bug snowman.

Payton got a bath in my kitchen sink.  He had a great time with his cousins!

Valentine's Day February 14, 2013

I am one lucky girl!  I think I sometimes take Clinton for granted because he is so thoughtful.  I am so excited and grateful that he doesn't forget to make me feel special.

 

What could be better than Flowers and Chocolates for Valentine's Day?!

I sure do love him!
