Our good friends, Randy and Julie Gleave, came to visit. They are from Peoria, Arizona. We had alot of fun with them while we were living in Arizona. Clinton and Randy have been friends since the 2nd grade. This weekend was Clinton and Randy's 30th class reunion. They were also in charge. Thursday night we just had to take them to Chiz's for dinner. Friday, Julie and I went for a bike ride around Sugar City. For dinner we ate at the High School, supporting the drama club, by eating yummy soups, bread sticks and rolls. At 7:00 pm we attended the Sugar Salem Homecoming game. This was all part of the 30th reunion activities. Saturday night there was a delicious dinner for all the class members, a slide show and alot of visiting. It made for a great reunion.
This picture is Kaden, Chelsi, Emma and Brock being a train. Kaden saw the cheerleaders at Friday nights game and they looked like a train carrying their boxes back to the school. Kaden had to copy them.
On Sunday we all went to church with Tyson, Courtnie and family to support them in the blessing of little Kimberly Rochell Arnold. I was so proud of Tyson because he was worthy to bless Kimberly. After church we had a family BBQ at our house to celebrate. It was a great day.

My first day of School 9-20-11
Today was my first day of school. I am signed up to be a substitute teacher in the Sugar-Salem School District. I was at the High School today subbing for Mrs. Nelson's Child Development and Foods classes. Everything went well. The kids were nice too. I thought this would be a fun thing to do because I do like being around kids of all ages. It was nice to have a positive experience for the first day. It makes me want to go back. The extra money will come in handy too. While I was getting ready this morning, Clinton made breakfast for me and cleaned out the dishwasher. What a great start for this day. He is such a thoughtful person! I think he is a keeper!

Bowling Team 9-15-11
I am so excited to be bowling this season! I have been gone for two years and have really missed my bowling. This is my team! Michelle Parkinson, Pam Blackburn and Me. Jody Andreasen is our 4th member. I couldn't be any happier. We are going to have a blast this season! We are on this league for the visiting and social interaction, bowling is just a sideline. It is going to be a great year.

Flowers & Canning 9-13-11
Today my friend, Michelle Parkinson, came over to my house and helped me chop vegetables for this Cabbage soup. Canning is so much more fun when you do it with a friend.I bottled 14 quarts of this yummy soup! It will taste so good when it is winter!
I had a visitor today. This guy shows up with these beautiful flowers. Clinton sent then to me.
Talk about making my day! I just love how thoughtful he is!

Labor Day Weekend 2011
It has been a pretty low key weekend for us. I spent most of my time canning and Clinton worked and went on a horse ride Monday with his brother Bruce and Tyson.Clinton and Tyson getting ready to leave for the horse ride today. This is a well deserved activity for them.
We got the best tasting peaches from Washington. I put up 14 quarts, and made a fresh peach pie, it was to die for!
These beans are from the second picking in our garden, there are still more to come. I canned 15 pints here.
I got some apples from our friends, the Redds. I canned 9 pints of apple butter, so yummy! I just love going down into my storage room and seeing all the fruits of my labor. We have been so blessed this fall in abundance!

Progressive Dinner 9-1-11
We had a Progressive Dinner with food from our gardens for our Night Relief Society Meeting. We started off at the church with a demonstration on how to make salsa. Then we ate it, yummy! Next stop was at my house. Here we had main dishes, side dishes and salads. We had such a variety; squash soup, zucchini casserol, raspberry jello, greek salad, and many other yummy things to eat. Our last stop was at Marilyn Gee's for dessert. I made zucchini, chocolate chip cupcakes. They were moist and delicious. There were other yummy desserts for us to try also. We had such a fun night, the weather was perfect too.
