Busy, Busy, Busy! July 2013

The Young Women had a busy July!  First of all, I had visited with them about how to help them with their Personal Progress and they suggested an incentive.  I love to mix wholesome recreational activities with spiritual things, so this is what we came up with. 

 

Early Tuesday morning, July 16th, we gathered at the church for a send off for our Temple Walk.  It was a 6 mile journey with stops along the way where wonderful ward members shared their thoughts about the Values.  When we got to the Temple, President Kunz spoke to us also. 

 

We drove back to Smith Park for a delicious luncheon.  Then we were off to Bill's Island in Island Park for some great water activities.

The girls spent the rest of the day riding on the tubes, and all day Wednesday doing the same.  I have to say that our Young Women are the best!  When it came time to help clean up the cabin, I didn't hear one complaint.  They just did their chores with a smile on their faces.  This was a great time for bonding and being rewarded for doing a lot of their Personal Progress.
